Privacy Policy
Nyle Labs ("Nyle Labs", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation, "GDPR") and applicable Belgian privacy legislation. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have.
What Data We Collect
Contact form submissions
When you submit the contact form on our website, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, and message content. This data is transmitted to us via Resend (our email delivery provider) and stored in our inbox.
Server logs
Our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard server log data when you access this website. This includes your IP address, browser type and version (user-agent string), the pages you visit, timestamps, and HTTP status codes. These logs are used solely for security monitoring and debugging.
Why We Collect It
Contact form data — solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not use your contact details for marketing communications unless you explicitly request to hear from us on an ongoing basis.
Server logs — to diagnose technical issues, protect against abuse, and maintain service availability.
Legal Basis (GDPR Art. 6)
Contact form data — processed on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in responding to pre-contractual inquiries, and your implicit consent when you submit the form.
Server logs — processed on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in maintaining the security and integrity of our systems.
Data Retention
Contact form data — retained for as long as necessary to handle your inquiry and any follow-up, and deleted thereafter. We apply a practical maximum of 24 months from the date of last contact unless a longer period is required by law or by an ongoing contractual relationship.
Server logs — retained for 90 days and then automatically purged, unless a security incident requires extended retention.
Third-Party Processors
We use the following sub-processors. Each operates under a data processing agreement and is bound by applicable data protection law.
- Resend (privacy policy) — email delivery for contact form submissions. Your name, email address, and message are transmitted to Resend to route the email to us. Resend does not retain message content beyond delivery.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies & Local Storage
This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or local storage.
Your Rights Under the GDPR
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — you may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure — you may request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Right to object — you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. We will cease processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.
- Right to restriction of processing — in certain circumstances you may request that we restrict the processing of your data.
- Right to data portability — where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means, you may request your data in a machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address below. We will respond within 30 days, in accordance with Art. 12 GDPR. Identity verification may be required before we can fulfil your request.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe we are processing your personal data in breach of the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données): www.dataprotectionauthority.be. You may also complain to the supervisory authority in the EU member state where you reside or work.
